4-H Shooting Sports Programs

4-H Shotgun
The shotgun program consists of a series of 7 week classes for both beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. The discipline is for youth, ages 10 to 18 (as of Sept. 1st – current 4-H year). The shotgun discipline is a relaxed, easy introduction to firearms safety and the safe handling of shotguns. 4-H promotes an atmosphere of positive youth development in all its programs. The Shotgun diciplines of trap,skeet and sporting clays are being taught at Bi-State Sportsman's Association in Colona IL. Instructors are certified through the University of Illinois Extension.

4-H Archery
Another very popular discipline offered by 4-H and supported by YSSA, is Archery. Youth have the chance to learn archery in a series of 7 week classes that start at beginning levels of archery and continue all the way up through the more advanced levels. Our Archery program is now being taught at our New range located at 1298 44th Street, Bettendorf, Iowa 52722. Instructors are certified through the University of Illinois Extension.

4-H Outdoor and Hunting Skills
Our newest Discipline offered under our 4H Program is Outdoor and Hunting Skills. The Program is like Hunters Safety Education on steroids. Outdoor and Hunting Skills will soon to be offered. (Contact us for information)
